Waiting for his turn to step on stage, Goliath paces around in the
backstage room nervously, suddenly, as new idea
comes to his mind, beginning to tear his already prepared speech to shreds. Then he hears something that might have been his
signal to go on stage, he hopes it was at least, and he walks out. A little swing in his step,
dancing up the stairs,
softly humming some ancient sailors' tune,
Goliath makes his way to the big stage, an envelope in hand, wearing a white
admiral's uniform. Although he tries his best to appear perfectly relaxed, a million thoughts are rushing through his
mind,
`am I really going to do this?' he asks himself, thinking about things that happened not that long ago. But then he remembers
that he most likely won't get a chance like this pretty soon again, and he smiles brightly, his mind set on going on with
his plan.
"Ladies and gentleman, my name is Goliath and I am here to present you the most surprising binding of the
year, an incident that made you all go like "Umm...wtf...did I miss something?", the one binding
that made even the best
informed among you gasp and wonder.
"The nominees for this amazing category are some of the finest and
best known
vampires of this city: "crazyinblack and the legendary Mooncalf, AQD and Capadocious, the unique phenomon of a wedding between
dead clan leaders, Hesu and Shadowshade, a binding surprising to even their closest kin Ophelia and EvilBill, another unexpected
marriage of illustrious clan leaders, both pretty much alive at the time of their binding though, and my dear friend Autumnfq
and her man Dorian Grey".
"But before I tell you who is going to win this award, I would like
to address some one
here in this audience" he pauses, his eyes
searching for a certain little blonde vampires, until he finally finds her,
locking his blue eyes with her emerald ones. "CG Dragonfly" he slowly softly speaks, a little nervous tremble in his deep
sonorous voice, "love of my life, light of my world, my sweet little angel, my precious emerald, would you like to be
my wife, to marry me again?" He pauses again, looking at her, gazing into her eyes deeply, and for that moment only she existed
in his world everything else, the show, the audience, the nominees fading in to the background, as he awaits his beloved girl's
answer.

Goliath waited for a reply of his girl to his proposal, but there was nothing. He stood on the stage sweating, his head
turning cherry red. Had he been blinded by the light and she wasn't here in the audience at all? Looking around again, he
couldn't find CG among the crowd, he must been mistaken as he thought he had looked at her. He felt so stupid, so ashamed
now. And he was thankfull at least that the audience keeped themselves occupied with socializing.
Finally, noticing some confusion, he decided to no longer wait and proclaim the results "And the winners are AQelDroma
and Capadocious. Congrats to you guys. Your surprise binding had been main talk of the city for month and as you see it really
made history" he smiled a bright 'the show must go on' smile, as he went on, although deep inside he felt like dying, "Best
married couple AND most surprising bind that really is some thing. I wish other relationsships in this city were as happy
and stable as yours. And sorry for keeping you waiting for so long, but well you know the saying, save the best for the last.
AQD, Cap you rock!"

AQelDroma heard her name called from across the hall, and rose
grinning, making her way on-stage to stand by Goliath's
side. Nodding graciously to the guests in the Hall, she said simply, "Thank
you all for your votes. It's a
great honor to accept this award. I know there are some out there that understand that when you fall in love,
you
want the rest of your life with that person by your side to begin
right then, and right there. We snuck off to the
Hall of Binding the
first chance we could," she adds, smiling widely. "Thank you again."
She accepts the
award from Goliath and leans forward slightly. "Be
patient," she said under her breath, "no female in her right
mind could resist such a display of love."
Bowing again, she stepped off-stage and wandered back to her quiet table
in the back.

*Jauk waits for Goliath to step off stage before she takes him aside
to tell the bad news in a whisper.*
Umm
yeah, Goliath...you see there was a slight problem. She WAS here and all, but there was this thing about cherry bombs in the
rest
rooms...things exploded and it wasn't pretty...not a good time to go
powder your nose if you catch my drift.
I think she may have gone
home to change or something....I'm sure she would have just melted
had she been here. Luckily
for you, this whole deal is city wide
televised so maybe she did see it at home? You did good anyway,
thanks for being
apart of this! *hugs him*
