Half walking, half stumbing up the stage, Sartori looked out over the crowds that are eagerly awaiting the results of
what is undeniably one of the most exciting awards - Clan of the year.
"Ladies and gentlemen!" he began, "Tonight we
witness the greatest honour to be bestowed upon a single clan since Capadocious was named prince of the city and his clan
basked in his glory.... tonight, a very different honour is to be bestowed upon one of the following clans...
Clan
Capadocious....
The Inner Circle....
The Sanctuary of Immortal Enlightenment....
The Shadow Court....
The Splinters
of Dusk....
The entire city were given the oportunity to unite together with their
collective opinions, to decide
on who will be the clan of 2005..."
With that Sartori reaches over the podium and takes the envelope from Jauk, and
winks at her as he flips it open and pulls out the card... and then puts it down on the podium, face down.
"To the
Caps, the Inner Circle members, the Sanctuary of Immortal Elightenment members, the Shadow Court members, and to the Splinters...
good luck..."
He then turns the card over, and looks puzzled as he stares down at it. He glances up to Jauk, who shrugs
her shoulders, and then back down to the card... without realising that his face is still right near the mic, he says - "holy
motherfuck..." before picking up the card and shaking it, then reading it again.
"Compose yourself dipshit, they're
waiting" he thinks to himself...
"Ladies and gentlemen....the clan of the year, 2005, by 1 vote.... is... THE SHADOW
COURT!!" He waits for the applause to die down before saying - "Can we have one of the Chancellors come up to claim
this award?

Nemesis had sat quietly at the table all evening, watching the festivities in silence. She beamed with pride for the
accomplishments of Devie, having watched her fashion advisor accept two awards. Her pale green eyes followed as clan
mates mingled in and out of the crowds. She was especially happy when Elektra and Ems arrived, she spotted the pleased smile
from evilive at the site of them. Her neice ophelia sat with Devie, her attention diverting to sparking small fires here and
there. ~snickers~.
Nemesis grinned as Sartori took the stage to present the next
award, and as he spoke, she nearly squeeled when
he called for the
Shadow Court to accept yet another award. She stood, stepping to
ophelia's table, avoiding the smoldering
potted plant. "Come on
sweets, we'll all go together..." Nemesis said softly.
--*At this point evilive had almost
broken a pair of Em's ribs when
hugging her, after hearing Sartori's announcement "Congratulations,
babe!!" he told
Em, while checking she was OK*--
Nems tiptoed and waved to evilive_inc, gaining his attention from the
bar, or rather,
his lovely Em at the bar....
--*evilive spotted nems waving at him, with O at her side, calling
him to go with them
to receive the award. "I'll be back in a bit, my
love, try to keep my seat empty or I'll have to chop a head when I'm
back,
hmm...?" he chuckled and walked towards the other two
Chancellors.*--
Adjusting and smoothing her gown, she made
her way to the stage
with her fellow Chancellors, kissing Sartori on the cheek as they
arrived at the podium. "Thanks
sweetie, you look handsome.." She
grinned and poked his side.
--*After nemesis and ophelia greeted Sartori, he stepped
right next
to him and patted his back strongly "Hey, rat!"*--
As the three Chancellors of the Shadow Court accepted
the award,
Nemesis grinned, waving to her clanmates scattered in the crowd. "We so totally rock!" She giggled, letting
ophelia and evilive give their say before exiting the stage.
--ophelia took the mic from Nemsie and laughed. Clearing
her throat
she said simply and quietly. "Thank you to everyone that made this
happen. There was some good competion,
as it were, on hand. To my family in the Shadow Court..this is for YOU, for it is all of you
that made this happen"
--*When
ophelia finished, she handed the mic to evilive and turned,
making her way toward the stage exit:*
"Well after listening to ophelia I can't add much... This belongs to
each and every single member of The Shadow Court,
and for that I can say I'm absolutely proud of my Family!
...And since it was a tough competition, all I can say to the rivals is SUCK IT UP HARD, BABY!!!!!"
*Fist in the air grabbing the award,he exited the stage*--
